Rumors rise from the street like steam from fresh blacktop on a sweltering day.  But if Grace, a notoriously taciturn cat, said it, it must be true.  Mr. Brushes, despite outward (posterior) appearances, is not a he but a she.  And pregnant.

      Hahaha! A friend of mine named her cat Hester Prynne and then found out it was a boy. The good (though sad) thing was that most people didn’t know that Hester Prynne was a female character.
