Menoetius tossed the book on the ground. “Rubbish.”

“I know, right?” said Atlas, his brother.

“You’re not carrying the earth. You’re carrying the heavens, for god’s sake!”

Involuntarily, Atlas shrugged. The sphere rolled off his shoulders, flattened earth. “I hate Ayn Rand.”

      She really did say that Atlas held up the world in the book. That was the whole premise: all these talented men, holding up the world, who say, “Enough” and shrug. Sheesh.
